Overview
(Item # : Raymarine-240_Modular_DSC-VHF_Radio)
By Raymarine
Model : E42001
Modular DSC VHF radio system with Digital Select Calling, optional second station control, and optional hailer/fog horn
The innovative, feature packed Ray240 VHF radio, with Digital Selective Positioning Request, is designed for easy integration with Raymarine products. The cell phone style handset has a familiar button arrangement with a slide down covers that protects an alphanumeric keypad. The radio’s Standard Class D, Digital Selective Calling, capability enables you to transmit vital information including your boat’s identification, position and time of distress using SeaTalk or NMEA 0183 data from your GPS. Placing a DSC distress call is as easy as pushing the accessible distress button on the back of the waterproof handset
The modular design of the Ray240 allows the receiver/transmitter to be mounted in an out of the way location, leaving just the waterproof cell phone style handset and loud speaker exposed on the dash. The Ray240 design allows for support of dual station remote handsets and remote speakers. Each handset provides full function VHF and DSC communication plus a convenient intercom feature for communication between stations. The Ray240 allows you to connect an optional hailer horn that transforms the Ray240 into a hailer foghorn combination with programmable auto fog alert.
